Does anyone know if Pixar gives a test to perspective animators?
i always give one when i'm told to start hiring people. has anyone here taken one from Pixar? or heard of that happening?

Re: Pixar Animation Test?
Wed, June 30, 2004 - 3:30 PMwell, after resume and reel review, we supply the applicant with a rigged model, a scene, and some direction, and then say go for it.
similar to the captain hook test. only probably not as hard.
i'm wondering if Pixar does the same thing. -

Re: Pixar Animation Test?
Wed, June 30, 2004 - 3:44 PMi usually let them take as long as they like, but have them document their hours, and add a constructive crit of the test and how they feel they did on it.
then i usually would ask them to change something in the animation that was particularly good and see how they take direction.
